I know that online posts can stay in the public domain and will contribute to my digital identity, which can have a negative impact. I understand why I need to protect my own digital identity, and that of my organisation.

I carefully manage my own digital identity to protect my reputation, and I also contribute positively to my organisation's digital identity in appropriate ways.

I recognise the value of positive digital identities and champion their use. I take proactive steps to develop and promote my own digital identity and that of my organisation, and actively support others to do the same.

Understands how to stay safe online and follows organisational rules and policies in relation to online safety and security

I follow guidance to do simple things to keep myself safe online. I know I must comply with rules that exist to ensure technology is used safely and securely. I don't believe I am currently breaching any of these rules, and I am confident I know how to access further information if needed.

I take necessary precautions to keep myself safe online and recognise any potential dangers. I have an understanding of the guidelines, policies and legislation that apply to online safety and security and am confident I comply with these. I follow organisational procedures to report any potential issues.

I am proactive in keeping myself and others safe online. I have in-depth knowledge of the guidelines, policies and legislation that apply to online safety and security, and I champion compliance across my organisation. I understand the associated risks and consequences of non-compliance and always act on or escalate breaches.

Uses digital tools to support personal health and wellbeing

I use some digital tools to positively support my health and wellbeing (e.g. online mindfulness sessions). I am aware that using digital tools may have a negative impact and I try to avoid this (e.g. by not spending too much time looking at screens).

I am confident using digital tools to positively support my health and wellbeing (e.g. self-care wearables and health apps) and I actively take measures to avoid any negative impact.

I champion the use of digital tools to positively support health and wellbeing and actively discourage negative behaviours that may compromise this.

Demonstrates respectful, ethical and appropriate attitudes and behaviours in online environments

I behave in all digital interactions in ways that are respectful, ethical and appropriate to different audiences.

I follow relevant guidelines to ensure my behaviour in digital interactions is always respectful, ethical and appropriate, and I report any instances of behaviour that breach these guidelines.

I lead by example in behaving respectfully, ethically and appropriately in digital interactions and follow relevant guidelines to ensure others do the same, escalating any instances of non-compliance.
