Ensuring the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality, person centred care requires integration of several key elements:
- patient safety, supported through the work of the Scottish Patient Safety Programme (SPSP) SPSP Essentials of Safe Care
- clinical practice informed by research, evidence and standards
- delivered by an enabled workforce who are appropriately trained, working in sufficient numbers and skill mix.
The resource is designed to support these key elements by setting out 10 capabilities and associated key knowledge and skills for NMAHP Leaders.
