ACCESS THE KEY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS FOR THIS CAPABILITY

Managing a service requires the assurance that staffing is appropriate to support high quality care (Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019). NMAHP Leaders are critical to making sure the clinical voice is heard at all levels by ensuring arrangements are in place to seek and take appropriate clinical advice in making decisions and putting in place arrangements in relation to staffing. This includes identification of any risks; mitigation of any such risks, so far as possible; notification of decisions and the reasons why and a procedure to record any disagreement with the decision made.
