Patient Safety is at the heart of excellence in care. The ethos of EiC focuses on giving ownership for the delivery of high-quality person-centred care to frontline clinical teams with clear and effective lines of professional responsibility between the clinical team and the health board. It is essential that NMAHP Leaders have the knowledge and skills to manage consistent safe clinical and care processes across health and care settings (Scottish Patient Safety Programme (SPSP) Essentials of Safe Care).
