Train the Trainer for Vocational Training
Supervision, Training, Assessment, Reflection and Teamwork
START is a 4 day in-person course which will provide you with the knowledge and tools to support Vocational Dental Practitioners (VDPs) in their first year after graduation.
Many are extremely anxious about beginning to work within the NHS, and trainers have a crucial role to provide mentoring throughout the first year. That said, we’re dentists and don’t generally have any expertise in educational theory or practice.
NHS Education for Scotland are proud to deliver this train the trainer course.

Learning Agreement
As part of your introduction to Vocational Training, you will be asked to sign a learning agreement which covers the expectations of participants on the course. The grounds rules are similar to those given to the VDPs.
