Jimmy will begin your day with a presentation to discuss the roles and responsibilities of being a VT Trainer. Here you will find out about your sessional commitments, discuss finances in relation to the course and experience an overview of the VT year.
Recruitment and Selection

Our guest speaker will deliver a session which will advise and encourage fair recruitment that remains consistent and in accordance with current legal and ethical legislation. You will be guided through prinicples of fair selection, dental specific competency based interview techniques, evaluation and how to avoid making pre-employment bias decisions.
Preparing Your Practice
Andrew Leitch, Vocational Training Adviser
Andrew will discuss assigning the right nurse to your VDP, alongside how to manage your VPD's appointment book. You will be given guidance on patient selection and advice on equipment and materials to suit the expectations and workload of your newly qualified clinican. Andrew will talk over the role of your adviser, and will explain a brief outline of the Turas Learn portfolio.
