Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) aims to improve any patients journey before, during and after a surgical procedure. Importantly, it focuses on empowering individuals to be an active participant in their care pathway. Whilst it is not a new concept and numerous departments across Scotland have developed local programmes our ERAS Scotland work has focused on improving every patients journey no matter where they happen to live. Teams across the country have worked collaboratively to share and learn from each other and continuously improve pathways of care.
Please get in contact if you want to discuss any of the programmes listed below or if you think there are other areas that would be beneficial to support nationally.
