Infection Prevention Control

The Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Zone, is the NHS Education for Scotland central hub for learning and development in IPC across health and care settings.

This zone provides access to a wide range of educational and training resources to support health and social care staff, students and volunteers in Scotland. All learning resources on this site are free to use.

Realistic Medicine and Values Based Health and Care

Realistic Medicine is an approach to healthcare that aims to put the patient at the centre of decisions made about their care. It also aims to reduce harm, waste and unwarranted variation, whilst acknowledging and managing the inherent risks associated with all healthcare, and championing innovation and improvement.
