Information and resources relating to the credential in rural and remote health
NHS Education for Scotland in partnership with the General Medical Council have developed and launched in April 2024 a Credential in Rural and Remote Health focusing on Unscheduled and Urgent Care.
The credentials aim is to provide a supportive training framework for doctors practising unscheduled and urgent care in R&R contexts.
Aligned with “Excellence by Design”, the Rural and Remote Health credential curriculum is outcomes-based. Progression will therefore depend on capability rather than time.
The credential has been developed in partnership with stakeholders across the UK.
