Learning resources and training opportunities for advanced nurse practitioners under the leadership pillar
Developing leadership knowledge and skills
In advanced level practice you will continue to develop your leadership knowledge and skills consistently throughout your career. This includes supporting your immediate development needs and planning how to facilitate your career-long learning needs.
Leadership roles involve the wider support of colleagues, teams, and services and not just your own development.
There are a wide range of available resources to support the development of knowledge, skills, and behaviours within this pillar of practice. This may be within a part of a designated programme of study, specific leadership course or self-directed learning.
Please note to access some of the resources you will need to have a Turas login. If you do not have an account sign up by following this link.
Please note many of these programmes have costs attached and are UK wide.

Most Scottish universities offer modules and often MSc level qualifications around leadership within the healthcare environment. Full time and part time options are available as well as entirely online and blended learning models.
