Healthcare support Worker Framework Pillar modules

Our modules are designed to further develop your knowledge and skills across the four pillars of practice.  Modules contain learning activities which are designed for self-study, reflection and taught sessions.  There is a supporting workbook to record your learning in.

Medicines Administration

The Framework for the Administration of Medicines by Level 3 and 4 Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) in Scotland sets out the national standards and legal frameworks to be followed in practice where HCSWs are administering medication.

The Promoting Effective Medicines Administration Practice (PEMAP) is the national recommended education programme for Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) at level 3 and 4 of the NHS Career Framework for Health who participate in the administration of medicines in NHSScotland.
