Digital Mindset Session

This session aims to demystify the concept of a digital mindset, helping you to understand how you can approach issues and opportunities through a digital lens and the benefits of doing so.

Part 1: On-Demand Learning (45 mins)
Explore what it means to be a leader in the digital age. Learn how digital is more than just technology - it's a collaborative way of working!

Part 2: Live Interactive Session (2.5 hours)
Dive deeper into digital thinking and service design with expert facilitators. 

This is for you if you if:
  • You are currently a leader in your organisation.
  • You want to understand what digital means for your role.
  • You want to feel confident leading in the digital age.
What you will gain: 
  • The confidence and knowledge to lead and support the transformation of health and social care services in the digital age.
  • The ability to inform, question and challenge through a digital lens.
  • An understanding of how we put people at the heart of designing services.
  • An understanding of how a digital mindset can enable transformation.
  • An awareness of national tools, programmes and resources for you and your teams.

Whether you're a Director, Head of Service, Board Member, Service Manager, or in another leadership role, you’ll gain the mindset and tools to lead digital transformation with purpose.

Leading Digital Transformation in Health and Care for Scotland [PGCert, PGDip, MSc]

The Leading Digital Transformation in Health and Care for Scotland [PGCert, PGDip, MSc] is a postgraduate programme designed for current and aspiring leaders across health, social care, social work, housing and associated sectors who are driving or influencing digital change across Scotland’s health and social care services.

This qualification provides the tools to navigate change, shape innovation, and deliver improved outcomes for people, services, and communities.

This is for you if you if:
  • You want to develop your career in the digital field.
  • You aspire to or currently lead at systems level.
  • You have prior experience leading digital transformation projects.
  • You meet the university requirements for postgraduate study through qualifications and/or work experience.
What you will gain: 
  • A critical understanding of the principles, methods, and applications of digital transformation in Scotland.
  • The ability to identify, assess and evaluate digital solutions to solve complex problems through appropriate use of research methodologies.
  • The skills and capacity to analyse facts, situations and settings and apply creative and inventive thinking to reimagine digital solutions and new capabilities to transform health and social care services in Scotland.
  • The ability to articulate and effectively explain the processes of digital transformation and adapt communication styles for different situations and audiences, including the citizens of Scotland.
  • The ability to strategically lead, influence and implement plans for continual engagement and collaboration with stakeholders to maximize the use of digital innovations to benefit service delivery within organisations.
  • The practical skills to devise, lead and demonstrate the application of digital technology solutions for the benefit of service users and/or staff focused on recovery, rehabilitation, and new ways of working.
