Rules, regulations & statement of dental remuneration (SDR) - Sessions 1 & 2
Face to face training sessions
- The location of this in-person session is Dalhousie Building at the University of Dundee Campus, Old Hawkhill, Dundee DD1 5EN OR Dundee Dental Education Centre (DDEC), Frankland Building, Smalls Wynd, DUNDEE, DD1 4HN
- The session will run for a full day (7 and a half hours)
- Lunch & refreshments will be provided. Please email mandatory.training@nes.scot.nhs.uk if you have any dietary requirements

Aims and Learning Outcomes
- Review the role of Practitioner Services.
- Discuss how to make claims successfully and avoid misinterpretations of the SDR and the regulations; *
- Discuss how claims are verified including the mechanisms of prior approval claims;*
- Discuss the legal and financial frameworks which govern NHS Dentistry in Scotland and their importance in everyday general dentistry.
Infection prevention and control - Session 3
Online session
- This session is delivered online using TEAMS.
- The session will run for 2.5 hours
- Delivered by NES QIiPT Team
Aims and Learning Outcomes
- Explain the principles of standard infection control precautions;
- Explain the principles and methods of the decontamination process;
- Identify the latest guidance taken from the guidance documents available and how to source this information.

Online session
- This session is delivered online using TEAMS
- The session will run for 2 hours
- Delivered by Dr. Alice Miller
