The Scottish Dental Mandatory Training Part 2 ONLY - For dentists who are currently included on a Dental list in England, Wales or Northern Ireland and not worked in Scotland within 12 months. This is a hybrid course with 2 x online and 2 x in-person sessions (in-person sessions held in Dundee).
Dental Mandatory Training is a Scottish Government programme. This certification is necessary for a territorial Health Board to issue a list number.
Learning outcomes:
Describe the role of Practitioner Services within National Services Scotland (NSS) and how they can support the general dental practitioner
Interpret the sections and applications of the SDR.
Explain the NHS(GDS)(Scotland) Regulations 2010 and its Amendments
Review requirements for contemporaneous, accurate records and review SDCEP Guidance.
Explain the principles of Standard Infection Control Precautions
Explain the principles and methods of the Decontamination process.
Identify the latest guidance taken from the guidance documents available and how to source this information
