On completion of the programme participants will be able to:

  • demonstrate skills required in the delivery of physical, psychological and emotional care of a patient
  • demonstrate effective non-technical skills within designated tier role (including clinical decision-making skills utilising checklists, clinical guidelines and standard operating procedures appropriate to your designated Tier role and prior experience
  • demonstrate appropriate communication and team working skills (within a designated Tier role)
  • demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the processes related to the safe transfer and management of a patient in relation to moving and handling within the NHS Louisa Jordan using formative practice with immediate feedback

To implement this programme the following are required:

  1. lesson plans
  2. link to Clinical SOPs
  3. identification of designated faculty

Ongoing programme of skills and education will require:

  • mentorship
  • skills refresher opportunities
