Embed explores how you can take the next steps in your digital leadership journey and start to influence change in your organisation. This pathway is for everyone, but especially for anyone who is seeking to affect change. You might manage or support others, lead digital projects or simply aspire to develop your knowledge beyond the Explore pathway.

If you aren't sure you understand any of the content, jump back to the Explore pathway and use the resources there to develop your knowledge before carrying on.

Digital Health and Care Leadership Programme

The Digital Health and Care Leadership Programme (DLP) is your opportunity to become a driving force in transforming health and social care through digital innovation. Designed for professionals across the sector, this programme equips you with the strategic leadership skills and digital confidence needed to deliver safe, effective, and person-led care.

Whether you're passionate about improving services or ready to take the next step in your leadership journey, the DLP helps you make a lasting impact.

Through expert-led learning, collaboration, and hands-on project work, you’ll:

  • Shape digital solutions that improve lives
  • Influence policy and practice at local and national levels
  • Lead meaningful change within your organisation
This is for you if you if:
  • Want to develop your digital leadership skills through the delivery of a digital project in your organisation.
  • Want to grow your knowledge and networks of the digital field.
  • Want to embrace digital leadership as an individual or as a team. 
You will gain the ability to: 
  1. Critically review the digital health and care policy and practice within an evolving context.
  2. Provide strategic leadership to influence the contribution of health and social care professionals in the delivery of local digital health and care strategies.
  3. Investigate opportunities for learning, collaborating and networking with others to maximise the use of technology to benefit service delivery within organisations.
  4. Devise, lead and demonstrate the impact of a digital health and care project that uses technology for the benefit of citizens.

Delivered virtually over an 8 month period, participants identify and lead a digital improvement project in their organisation and are supported by learning resources, subject matter experts, current digital leaders and peers. Team applications are also possible for this programme.
