This stage helps you and your team to understand the bigger picture, to identify and clarify your journey, and to gather differing perspectives

Aim

The aim of the AHP Skills Maximisation is to take participants on a service improvement journey. As a team member your exploration of these resources will prompt your thinking and thereby prepare you to participate in team workshop activities. Exploring these resources will enhance your knowledge and understanding of:

  • Service Improvement Processes
  • Quality Improvement Methodology
  • Partnership Working
  • Collaborative team Working
  • Importance of current policy and research on service improvement and development
  • Skill mix and the importance within a team and service
  • Uniqueness and the importance of adding value to a service through maximising individual team members contribution.

The learning achieved during the process can be used to evidence Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and information conversations regarding Personal Development Plans (PDP).

  • Develop thinking in order to participate and contribute to a process mapping session.
  • Identify thinking and knowledge regarding service inefficiencies.
  • Develop knowledge of current policy, research, and practice to service
  • Present options e.g. for gathering information, feedback and for potential solutions.
  • Critically reflect on personal feelings regarding service change
  • Demonstrate thinking, knowledge and understanding of the scope and skill mix of the service.
