Level 1 - I understand what digital inclusion is and how being digitally excluded can impact people's ability to access health and social care services when non-digital options are not available. Where appropriate, I am able to support people, including colleagues, who might be digitally excluded to find information and access services.

The short video on this page is part of Age UK's ‘Offline and Overlooked’ campaign for digital inclusion. Watch it to learn about some of the potential impact of digital exclusion when trying to access public services: Age UK - Offline and Overlooked

One of the key elements of taking a person-centred approach is ensuring online content is accessible to everybody. Work through this online course which includes web accessibility principles and guidelines, and accessibility evaluation and testing: Microsoft - Accessibility Fundamentals

The Alliance, Scottish Care and VOX are supporting five principles for a human rights based approach to digital health and social care. Level 3 - I am a champion for digital inclusion. I recognise and escalate situations where existing services negatively impact those who are digitally excluded, and I actively contribute towards the design of digitally inclusive services and ensure that both digital and non-digital options are available.
