Level 1

Demonstrates respectful, ethical and appropriate attitudes and behaviours in online environments

Level 1 - I know what it means to behave in ways that are respectful, ethical and appropriate when I’m online (e.g. considering others’ feelings, respecting privacy, sharing personal beliefs in a balanced way). I understand what the negative impacts of not doing this can be (e.g. online bullying). I always behave appropriately online.

Level 2

Level 2 - I follow relevant guidelines to ensure my behaviour in digital interactions is always respectful, ethical and appropriate, and I report any instances of behaviour that breach these guidelines. I ensure that the use of digital tools is always fair and doesn’t negatively impact anyone.

Level 3

Level 3 - I lead by example in behaving respectfully, ethically and appropriately in digital interactions and ensure others do the same, escalating any instances of non-compliance. I advocate for digital systems and processes that are fair, transparent and non-discriminatory, and am careful to consider the ethical implications of any new innovations (e.g. artificial intelligence).
