Background: What and Why

In November 2023 the Centre team designed, organised, and hosted a 2.5 day symposium for around 100 attendees comprising colleagues from Scotland and Norway. Over 20 presentations on a variety of health and care related topics were given, providing attendees the opportunity to highlight the work being done in these different areas.

The evaluation results highlighted that colleagues were interested to know more about some of the rural educational initiatives being delivered.

The Centre is also building international engagement for knowledge exchange, resource development and innovation that will support improved primary care services in remote and rural communities within Scotland and across the globe.
