Episode 1: Using AI tools for complaint management

Handling complaints well is critical to building trust, improving services, and learning from what matters most to people. Yet complaint management in health and social care is often time consuming, emotionally demanding and constrained by limited capacity. Amy Walker, Innovation Project Manager from NHS Forth Valley, will lead this session and showcase how they have used artificial intelligence (AI) tool responsibly and ethically to support complaint management - not by replacing human judgement, but to help teams work more effectively and consistently.

Colleagues will share their experiences of developing the network, how it has taken shape over time, and what has helped it grow and adapt within a complex service environment.

There are several pathways for you to work through. The Digital and Data Pathway will develop your understanding of the fundamental concepts related to digital health and care, and there are also topic specific pathways that will provide more focussed learning on key areas of digital.
Build your understanding of the role of digital and data in health and social care. Develop and deepen your awareness of key concepts such as digital inclusion, service transformation and the importance of recording and using data appropriately.
Learn about the cyber security fundamentals you need to be aware of when working in health and social care, and how you can apply simple practices to avoid cyber risks.
Develop your knowledge of AI in health and social care. Learn about potential opportunities, with careful consideration of the risks and ethical factors we need to be aware of.
