CCL Listener Training - Blended Learning

Course Format

  • eLearning modules for foundational knowledge
  • Facilitated Microsoft Teams sessions for interactive learning
  • In-person skills practice for hands-on skills practice arranged by local board

 

Attendance Requirements

To successfully complete this training, participants must achieve the following:

  • 7 flipped classroom modules (100% completion required)
  • Attendance at 6 out of 7 online sessions (each 1½ hours)
  • A post course local in-person session - arranged by your local CCL Lead

Please note: Failure to meet these requirements will prevent course completion.

These will all be held via MS Teams 

eLearning Preparation

  • Modules sent 6 days before each online session
  • Example: Module 1 distributed Wednesday 8th October for Tuesday 14th October session

In-Person Skills Day

  • Session 8 – This will be organised locally by your CCL Board Lead and held after session 7
     

How to Apply

Applications require endorsement from your NHS Board's Community Chaplaincy Listening Lead. Please ask them to complete the CCL National Listening Blended Training 2026/2027 to secure your place on this training programme.

National CCL - train the trainer training

2026/27

This course is delivered in a blended learning format consisting of flipped classroom eLearning modules, facilitated MS Teams sessions and homework. The MS Teams sessions take place over two full days (10am to 4pm) and one half day over a total period of five to six weeks, with presentations to be prepared between each MS Team session.

Facilitated MS Teams dates Wednesday 20th May and Wednesday 3rd June 2026 (both 10am-4pm) and Wednesday 17th June 2026 10am-1pm

Flipped classroom material sent out 2 weeks ahead of each MS Teams session, with submitted ‘homework’ due the working day prior to that session. Participants should allocate sufficient time to complete this work.
