To reduce archived paper records through digitalisation within Ark Housing Association. Ark aim to reduce the archived paper records to zero within 18 months of the commencement of digitalised records. A pilot area was to be identified to review archived records and commence digitalisation. The initial financial outlay for returning archived documents and additional staff costs for sorting through the archived boxes, scanning documents and setting up digital folders will be met by the savings from no longer storing the paper documents with an external organisation. It is expected this will be met prior to year 3, therefore beyond this point Ark will make additional savings. Ark aims to increase digital engagement with staff, supported people and guardians through enabling more accessible historical information where applicable as part of the Digital Strategy.
