We are delighted to announce that booking for the 1^st national cardiothoracic ICM simulation course is now open.

This is a one-day course aimed to equip trainees with knowledge and skills to optimally manage cardiothoracic problems encountered in general and specialised intensive care units. Specifically it will cover:

• use and interpretation of PA catheters
• use and interpretation of IABP
• Cardiac output monitoring
• Cardiac patient post op emergency complications
• Double lumen tube/one lung ventilation/bronchial blockers
