Included in this section is documentation and support for NHS Chair and non-Executive Board Members performance appraisals.
Chair Appraisals will be carried out by the Chief Executive for NHS Scotland/Director General Health and Social Care on behalf of the Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care.
This takes place every 12-24 months with each Chair undergoing appraisal at least twice in a 4-year appointment. Chairs will be contacted by the Office of the Chief Executive of NHS Scotland to arrange a date and receive paperwork for completion in advance of the appraisal. The process includes a “Multi-Rater Feedback Questionnaire” (a similar process to 360 feedback) and an appraisal form.
