These small, interactive, and practical sessions are aimed at supporting AHP supervisees and supervisors, explore the key skills and attributes for effective supervision, practice using the skills in a safe environment and consider how to apply in the practice setting.
The sessions are open to all AHPs (registered AHPs and AHP HealthCare Support Workers), and will be delivered via MS teams.
These sessions are also being held in some local Health Boards, face-to-face and via MS Teams. Please contact your Practice Education Lead/Team directly for information on whether these sessions will be delivered locally in your area.

Prerequisites:
Please note it is advisable that participants have completed Sessions 1 and 2 prior to the Skills session. This information will be provided once you have booked onto a session and a link will be included in the booking email. Sessions 1 & 2 are recorded webinars, with accompanying resource packs/handouts. These can be viewed and downloaded from the webpage. Each webinar is approximately 35 minutes long.

To prepare supervisees and supervisors from an allied health professions (AHPs) background to facilitate supervision in practice.

By the end of the session, you will:
-be able to identify and describe the key skills to help facilitate an effective support and supervision session
-have had the opportunity to practice using key skills of support and supervision
