This presentation aims to inform you on the case selection process, so that you are able to decide if the case in need of endodontic treatment is suitable for treatment under your care or needs referral to a more experienced colleague.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the presentation participants should be able to:

  • Understand importance and the need for case selection
  • Consider important patient and medical history factors that may influence decision making
  • Gauge if treatment or referral is indicated based on individual operator competency
  • Apply restorability and case difficulty assessments for teeth in need of endodontic treatment
  • Use the BES Endo App for case difficulty assessment
