To introduce an interface between BadgerNet (electronic maternity record) and the CTG (cardiotocograph) monitors used to monitor foetal heart rate in the intrapartum period. The recordings will then be stored digitally within the record and will be available for live and retrospective viewing.
This will also allow the reintroduction of a central monitoring station within labour ward, enable on-call consultants to view the trace from offsite and improve the availability of CTGs for teaching purposes.
