Automation Finder, an artificial intelligence based software developed by NICE Systems Ltd., works in the background of a user’s desktop to identify repetitive and time-consuming tasks carried out by staff that could potentially be automated. Our aim was to implement the software within the desktops of a team within NHS Lothian to improve their time efficiency. Despite the software being granted IT Security approval, unfortunately in September, IG approval was not granted. The concern was that even though potentially sensitive information such as usernames and passwords are encrypted or hashed, the third party supplier might be able to reverse them.
