Digitization of Orthodontic patient records (existing analogue i.e.hardcopy) as a key step-change forming part of the transfer of the current dental department at Perth Royal Infirmary (PRI) to a new location at Broxden Dental Centre, Perth. Digitization of Orthodontic patient care and journey including consultation records and aspects of orthodontic treatment such as intra-oral impressions via:-a) Carestream R4+ digital platform already in place across NHS Tayside Public Dental Service (PDS) sites.b) Digital laboratory model scanner and digital dentistry software (exocad / TRIOS).The Dental Department at Perth Royal Infirmary is closing as part of the development of a National treatment Centre at PRI. Rather than transfer existing paper case notes and plaster models of patients’ teeth, the decision has been made for the service to become paper-free and plaster-light.
