The Orientation Pack has a series of tasks that must be completed prior to attending the Induction study day. The tasks cover four of the most important aspects of their role:
Health & Safety
The various tasks within each of the sections require trainees to undertake some research and investigation through reviewing websites and engaging in discussion with colleagues in the practice.
Upon completion of this pack the trainee dental nurse should have a very clear idea of their role and responsibilities as a dental nurse.
The General Dental Council (GDC) states that Dental Nurses must either be registered or be undertaking a recognised training programme that will lead to registration. Providing entry requirements have been met, the trainee dental nurse will be eligible to register for NES’ Dental Nurse Training Programme - SVQ and PDA in Dental Nursing.
