My initial project was to work with the NHS Forth Valley Keepwell team to better integrate the use of Florence remote health monitoring for blood pressure diagnosis. However, with the arrival of COVID-19, changes to our work—redeployment of Keepwell team members and shifting eHealth priorities—translated to changes in my project. I focused on identifying appropriate tools for safely holding patient group sessions, working with eHealth, ICT trainers, Information Governance, and multiple healthcare services. While Near Me covered individual patient appointments, it could not support groups. Many health services, from Mental Health to Pain Management, reach their patients in groups and many more patients benefit from this type of service.
