Find out about the important new features and functionality that have been released for Turas Vaccination Management in November 2021.
Release, 819, Version 2021.11.22.5
We have made a change to what happens when you choose to sign out of the Turas Vaccination Management tool. You will be directed to the Turas sign out page. Turas Vaccination Management makes use of the Turas platform. You might already be familiar with the Turas platform for recording your annual appraisal or, perhaps, for updating your professional portfolio. The new sign out page looks like this:
If you click to sign in from this page, you may need to select the Vaccination Management 'tile' from the Turas Dashboard page that appears.
Most users choose not to sign out when they are finished using Turas Vaccination Management. This is fine - the act of closing your browser window will cause your session to end. If you have any questions then the Turas team will be delighted to answer them - please contact the helpdesk.
Record Manager within NHS Boards can now record vaccination events from outside Scotland but within the Common Travel Area (England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man & Republic of Ireland) into the Turas Vaccination Management tool – currently, this can only be done by the Resolver Team on the provision of a valid QR code.
The NHS Board must be satisfied with the proof of vaccination offered by the citizen prior to this being entered onto the Turas Vaccination Management tool.
For further guidance on the functionality please refer to the User Guide
Release, 808, Version 2021.11.15.3
It is now possible to record the patient’s ethnicity at the screening stage of the vaccination process.
The question is only asked if the ethnicity of the patient is unknown.
In this scenario the user is presented with the question - Ask the patient ‘ What is your ethnic group?
The user can reveal all possible response options by clicking on the ‘Show all ethnicity options’ link
If the patient’s ethnicity is already known, then the user is advised that they do need to ask the question.
