The Gastroenterology Programme is focussed on the redesign and reimagining of pathways and interventions to provide the optimal level of care for outpatients, that is both timely and effective.
The Gastroenterology community has been working with MPPP for some time now to develop and implement new ways of working. Key stakeholders are engaged and have contributed across all these programmes of work including Primary Care, Allied Health Professionals, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Labs.
Together we aim to deliver a modern, responsive and effective Gastroenterology service across all NHS Scotland Boards, aiming for ‘once for Scotland’ approach where possible. MPPP covers a broad and varied range of programmes of work across Gastroenterology. The MPPP has continued to support outputs of SAC GI workshops as well as new programmes of work, some of which have resulted in response to Covid:
