Networks

A multi-professional group that aims to promote the development and use of Health Informatics in Scotland. It represents Scotland's Health Informatics Community on national and international groups, acts as a consultation mechanism for projects and standards, shares good practice and initiates health informatics projects with appropriate partners.
 

UK based network to support professional development of health library and knowledge professionals and raising of awareness of the value and impact of their services.
 

UkeIG is a forum for all information professionals, users and developers of electronic information resources. It champions innovation in and the effective exploitation of digital information resources, tools, techniques and technologies in all sectors of the library and information profession.
 

Scotland's Innovation Centre for data and AI. Its function is to enable collaborative partnerships to be innovative with data. It also helps to build industry ready skills to enable organisations and individuals to solve data challenges. Using a network of over 1,500 companies, public sector organisations, universities, and data experts, the Data Lab is playing a key role in making Scotland the global leader in data innovation.
 

The Faculty of Clinical Informatics is the multi-disciplinary professional body for all health and social care qualified individuals working as informaticians across the UK.

Cross-government network led by the National Statistician. Works to provide advice, analysis and a statistical evidence base to help people make better decisions.
 

Network supporting the work of library and knowledge staff in translating knowledge into action in healthcare.
 

Delivers a programme of activities, which promote the further development and understanding of local government research and innovation in Scotland including: maintaining a network of practitioners, sharing knowledge and expertise among practitioners, promoting good practice in R&I activity, raising the profile of information research throughout Scotland, establishing links with appropriate organisations, promoting the use of all forms of technology that will support these objectives.
 

The NHS-R community aims to support the learning, application and exploitation of R in the NHS through workshops, video tutorials and providing a platform for discussion and sharing of developing best practice solutions to NHS problems.

SOCITM focuses on how digital strategy and innovation impacts positively on the lives of service users. It aims to help maximise the effectiveness of ICT and digital in delivering services for public benefit and help members to develop professionally and to deliver their organisation’s ICT and digitally-enabled transformation objectives.
 

The UK Data Service provides access to, and support for, the use of an extensive range of key economic and social data, spanning many disciplines and themes. The UK Data Service is at the core of a network of trust that includes data owners, producers, funders and users.
 

The UK Data Service has established a dedicated Big Data Network Support team to provide advice to other BIG Data Network Research Centres on areas of data licensing and governance and trusted access. It puts on training events, webinars and has developed user guides and capacity building case studies.
