The Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS) is the single overarching body for the entire UK Healthcare Science (HCS) workforce and works alongside the healthcare science professional bodies to strengthen the visibility of the contribution of the healthcare science workforce. AHCS delivers The Certificate of Attainment and Certificate of Equivalence for the Scientist Training Programme (STP), Equivalence and Registers who are not regulated by statute. The Academy also maintains registers for individuals who have completed Practitioner Training Programme (PTP) and Specialist Scientist Training Higher (HSST) or their equivalent training routes.
 

The Archives and Records Association is the lead professional body for archivists, archive conservators and records managers in the United Kingdom and Ireland.The ARA aims to support its membership through training, continued professional development, identification of employment opportunities, professional help and advice, and by providing a community to which the membership can belong and from which they draw benefit through open discussion and debate, as well as through gathering of information and advice.
 

The British Computer Society (BCS) is the professional body for those working in IT. British Computer Society Health Scotland is a multi-professional group that aims to promote the development and use of Health Informatics in Scotland to support effective, evidence based, efficient health and social care in areas of research, education, practice, and management decision making. This is intended to benefit the health of individuals, communities, and populations that receive health and social care services and the staff and organisations that deliver health and related services.
 

CILIP is the leading professional body for librarians, information specialists and knowledge managers, with members in the UK and internationally. Membership gives access to a range of learning and eLearning opportunities, as well as access to events, regional and specialist groups and professional development opportunities. The Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals in Scotland (CILIPS) works in partnership with CILIP. CILIP also has a Health Libraries Group (HLG) which supports the professional development of health library and knowledge professionals and raising of awareness of the value and impact of their services.

There is also a SOCITM Scottish regional network that hold events and meetings.
