Education Centre, which is located on the 2nd floor of the main building.
General Steps from the Main Entrance 🚶
Enter the Main Atrium: Walk through the main front entrance doors of Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.
Locate Vertical Access: Once inside the main atrium/reception area, look for the main elevators or central stairwells.
Go to the 2nd Floor: Take the stairs or lift to the 2nd floor.
Follow Signs to the Education Centre: (signage pointing toward the Education Centre, Library and Knowledge Services)

Maternity Services (Women, Children and Sexual Health Department)
General Steps from the Main Entrance 🚶
Locate the Main Entrance: If you are arriving at the main hospital drop-off point or the principal car park, position yourself facing the Main Entrance of the hospital.
Turn Right: Do not enter through the main hospital doors. Instead, face the building and walk along the outside path to the right of the main entrance.
Follow the Signs: Walk down this pedestrian path following the clear external signage for the Women and Children’s Wing.
Locate the Maternity Entrance: The entrance to the maternity unit is a separate, dedicated doorway situated on this side of the building.
Turn left to find the lift/stairs up to 1st floor.
Wait in the waiting area.
If before 08:00am:
Use the Intercom: For security, the doors are locked.
Press the intercom/buzzer at the entrance, and a member of the maternity staff will ask for your details and buzz you into the unit.
