This session explores how Values Based Reflective Practice (VBRP®) can support your conversations with service users, clients, patients, and community members, transforming them from information sharing to true empowerment.
This session explores the dual role of health literacy as both a social determinant of health and a key enabler of health equity. Lower levels of health literacy disproportionately affect some population groups, including those experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage, contributing to poorer health outcomes and widening inequalities. The session also examines the potential of health literacy as a goal in its own right: empowering people with the knowledge, confidence and skills to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing, while supporting health and social care services to become more accessible, acceptable and easier to navigate.
