NES CORE MAP Training Information

CORE MAP is our original and generic behaviour change training for all health, social care and partner organisation practitioners who have the opportunity to support people to change their behaviour to improve their health and wellbeing.

The NES MAP approach can be used to support anyone, in all kinds of settings and services, and for any type of behaviour change.

Practitioners learn to apply the MAP approach to enhance the provision of person-centred, evidence-based health behaviour change support for adults.

The training aims to increase confidence and skills in:

  • Noticing opportunities for change
  • Starting a conversation with families about these opportunities
  • Providing effective behaviour change support

Practitioners who may find this training useful include (but not restricted to): Health Visiting Teams, Early Years Officers, Child Smile Practitioners, School Nurses, Social Work Teams, Paediatric Allied Health Practitioners
