The impact of the NHS Fellowship in Clinical AI

Cohort 4 Scotland graduate Dr Chris Morrison shared this testimonial:

‘Participation in cohort 4 of the FCAI has been invaluable. AI will be integrated through all aspects of healthcare in the future, and I have been fortunate to have protected time to learn about the underlying principles of AI, governance, system interoperability, and the successful deployment of clinical AI tools. Working alongside other clinicians, academics and AI vendors I have been able to comprehend the barriers that we face in the widespread, system-wide use of artificial intelligence in health care and have been able to participate in projects that seek to remove these barriers. The skills I have learnt, both in AI but also in understanding systems, will be invaluable as I move towards completing my training and working as a consultant in public health medicine.’
