The challenges and transitions involved in relocating to a new country and healthcare system are understood, and comprehensive support is provided as IMGs integrate into the medical community.

Glasgow offers a vibrant city and a dedicated healthcare environment ready to welcome your skills and experience.

IMGs are encouraged to use available resources, including induction programs and support initiatives from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and the Scotland Deanery, for a smooth transition into their new roles.

As the biggest board in Scotland, 1 in 6 of all NHSGGC employees are from abroad.

It is anticipated that IMGs will contribute to healthcare services in Glasgow and Scotland, and the medical community looks forward to learning from diverse experiences and perspectives.

Appraisal Guide for International Medical Graduates (IMGs)
A practical resource designed to support IMGs in conducting both initial and follow-up meetings with their educational supervisors. This guide helps ensure meaningful discussions, clear expectations, and ongoing professional development throughout the appraisal process.
