The Women, Children, Young People and Families (WYCPF) team at NHS Education for Scotland (NES) were delighted to host a webinar in partnership with Improvement Service, focusing on UNCRC in Practice: What makes information child friendly? Exploring how public bodies can create information for children and young people in Scotland. Children have a right to seek, receive and impart information and that often requires access to child-friendly written information.

The webinar aimed to:

  • Explore what we mean by child friendly information and why it is important

  • Hear some top tips on how to tailor information for different age groups

  • Explore some examples from local authorities and health boards

  • Offer time to consider the topic together and share practice
