The Technology Enabled Care Pathway consists of four pathway levels; Explore, Embed, Drive and Shape. Each pathway level contain links to resources and suggested activities to help you develop your understanding of Technology Enabled Care and how it is used to support people and service delivery across health and social care.
The Technology-Enabled Care Pathway provides guidance, resources and opportunities to support your development in delivering health and social care in the digital age. By engaging with this pathway and exploring its resources, you’ll build the skills needed to use digital tools and services to enhance the quality, efficiency, and impact of care delivery across health and social care settings.
The Explore pathway is for everyone working in health and social care, regardless of role. This pathway introduces the foundations of Technology Enabled Care (TEC) and helps you build your knowledge and skills in using digital tools to support safe, effective, and person-centred care.
The Embed pathway is for people using Technology Enabled Care (TEC), or are ready to start, and want to build on their knowledge and skills. This includes frontline workers, care coordinators, team leads or supervisors who are also supporting others to use TEC. This pathway helps you apply TEC to enhance care, promote independence, and improve outcomes for people, while also starting to influence positive change within your team or setting.
The Drive pathway is for people leading or influencing change across teams, services, or organisations. This includes service managers, digital leads, or programme managers responsible for embedding Technology Enabled Care (TEC) across teams or organisations. This pathway supports you to adopt a TEC-first mindset, lead innovation, and drive digital transformation that improves health and social care at scale.
The Shape pathway is for senior and strategic leaders making decisions at a system level. This includes directors, board members, policymakers, and chief executives. This pathway gives you the insight and tools to lead confidently in the digital age, embedding Technology Enabled Care (TEC) as a key enabler of service transformation across the system.
