Welcome to the International Medical Graduate Resource Hub: Supporting International Medical Graduates in Scotland


This website brings together a range of national, regional and Board-level resources to support International Medical Graduates (IMGs) at every stage of their career in Scotland. Alongside guidance for doctors, you'll find practical information and resources for trainers, supervisors, employers and managers to help create a positive and supportive working environment.

Explore induction resources, professional development opportunities, wellbeing support and guidance from partner organisations including the General Medical Council (GMC), medical defence unions, and Royal Colleges all designed to help IMG colleagues settle into practice, build successful careers and thrive in Scotland.


The aim is to foster the sharing of good practice, enabling a culture of continuous improvement, and promote consistent, high-quality support across Scotland.

Welcome to this resource hub for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) working and training in Scotland. Whether you are an IMG doctor, mentor, manager, supervisor or employer, you will find a range of practical tools, guidance and support to help you succeed and thrive in your role.
