MRCS Revision Days form a teaching programme to support Core Surgical Trainees in their preparation for the MRCS examination. Sessions are delivered face-to-face at different locations across Scotland.
Each Revision Day covers different content, so trainees may attend more than one session. Please check the dates and topics listed below when deciding which sessions to book.
Sessions usually combine interactive teaching and practical exam guidance with OSCE-style workshops and simulation, allowing trainees to practise exam technique, take part in practical stations and identify areas to focus their revision. Trainees are expected to attend the full day.

15 September 2026 – QEUH, Glasgow Topics:
Morning: Covers exam structure and practical guidance for the day itself
Afternoon: MRCS Part B exam structure and practical guidance, chest drains, suturing, anatomy, pathology and critical care.
