Description:
This blended learning programme supports the ongoing development of staff providing training in psychological therapies within local health boards and provides an opportunity for trainers to increase their knowledge of effective learning and teaching strategies and to reflect on their approach to teaching. The learning programme consists of: completing 1 e-learning module on Turas Learn and attending 2 day workshops which aim to provide an overview of adult learning and its application within clinical practice, explore different teaching and learning styles and their application, and provide participants with the knowledge and skills required for planning and delivering an effective learning session. Learning Outcomes:
Target Audience:
This learning programme is intended for Trainers and staff who are involved in teaching psychological therapies and interventions within local health boards. The training forms Phase 2 of the Training for Trainers in ‘Behavioural Activation’, ‘Core Skills for Working with Substance Misuse’, ‘An Introduction to CBT for Anxiety’ and provides ‘Safety and Stabilisation’ Trainers foundational training in adult learning.
Training Approval:
You will require approval from both line manager and local Psychological Therapies Training Coordinator (PTTC) to attend. Where training is over-subscribed precedence will be given to those supervising the delivery of psychological interventions. Failure to obtain PTTC approval to attend prior to applying will result in automatic rejection of the application.
