Scotland International Induction Programme
The International Induction Programme provides introduction to working in NHS General Practice in a supported way. The programme will be tailored around you following an individual learning needs assessment. You will be allocated a practice-based supervisor who will provide feedback to support your integration as an independent general medical practitioner in the NHS in Scotland.

Am I eligible for the programme?
To be eligible for the programme applicants must:
- Be on the GMC register (without conditions or undertaking except those relating solely to health matters) and on the GMC Specialty Register with a licence to practise.
- Be committed to working in Scottish NHS General Practice
- Have the right to work in the UK
- If you are a member of an EEA state evidence that you have knowledge of English which, in the interests of you and patients who you may provide medical services to, is necessary for performing primary medical services
- If you come from out with the EEA, evidence of proficiency in English to the level of IELTS 7.5
- You will not already have undertaken, commenced or been unsuccessful in similar programmes elsewhere in the UK or unsuccessful in the national RtP as part of an application elsewhere in the UK.
