Blended learning programme for new supervisors.

Course Information

Supervisor training offers valuable benefits for Dental Core and Specialty supervisors, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively support and guide trainees throughout their development. It enhances supervisory confidence, improves communication and feedback techniques, and ensures a consistent, high-quality training experience across the workforce. 

 

Clinicians interested in developing their supervisory skills are encouraged to complete the registration form, discuss their attendance with their line manager and apply for study leave to attend the in-person training event taking place on Friday 29th August 2025.

LEARNING AGREEMENT

Step 1 

The Learning Agreement 

Learners are asked to sign a learning agreement to ensure they understand and commit to the expectations, responsibilities, and goals of their learning program. It promotes accountability, clarifies roles, and helps support a successful and structured learning experience.

eLearning

Step 2

Completion of eLearning

Learners must complete the eLearning module: Educational Supervision for Core and Specialty Supervisors. This element must be completed prior to attending the in-person event.

In person event

Step 3

Attend in-person training event

In-person participation at an organised event to be held in one of our Glasgow sites. This is a valuable opportunity to come together with your peers, enhance your learning experience and build on your network of support.

Evaluation and Feedback 

These elements are essential to our maintenance and quality improvement of this learning programme. Your comments are influential, they measure the effectiveness, improve future delivery, and ensure it meets learners' needs and goals.
