Cohort 2: PGCert Update
The academic year for the PGCert began on the 10 September 2024 with an online introductory webinar.
In Person Welcome Event
An in-person welcome event was held on 02 October 2024.
The event was well attended with all 25 participants attending the day. Participants were enthusiastic to start the certificate year of the programme.
Welcome Executive Sponsors to Year 1
To assist executive sponsors as they support participants progress through the programme, a 30-minute lunchtime webinar was held on 24 October 2024.
The session provided an introduction to Year 1, outlining the courses ahead and offering sponsors the opportunity to connect with one another. It also explored how sponsors and participants can collaborate effectively to maximise the impact and value of the programme within their organisations.

Learning and Network Event
The Inaugural Cohort 1 and Cohort 2 joint Learning and Network Event took place on 27 February 2025. Opening remarks were provided by Christine McLaughlin, Co-Director of Population Health at the Scottish Government, and Nicola Dickie, Director of People Policy at COSLA.
The event was well attended, with participants from both Cohort 1 and Cohort 2 coming together to share, learn, and connect.
Ongoing Engagement
As part of our ongoing commitment to participant involvement and collaborative learning, we host online Open Forums for current participants and alumni.
These forums create a valuable opportunity for open conversation, constructive feedback, and mutual learning. They help build a strong sense of connection across cohorts and contribute to continuous evaluation and the ongoing development of the programme.
