A recruitment campaign took place over the summer of 2024 for 25 funded places on the 1 year Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) qualification.
The academic year for the successful candidates on the 1 year PGCert commenced on 10 September 2024 with an online introductory webinar.
An in-person welcome event was held on 2 October 2024.
The event was well attended, with all 25 participants present and enthusiastic to begin the postgraduate certificate.
To support executive sponsors in guiding participants through the programme, a 30-minute lunchtime webinar was held on 24 October 2024.
The session provided an introduction to Year 1, outlining the courses and offering sponsors the chance to connect with one another. It also explored ways sponsors and participants can collaborate effectively to maximise the programme’s impact and value within their organisations.
You can watch a recording of the session here.
The inaugural joint Learning and Network Event for Cohort 1 and Cohort 2 took place on 27 February 2025.
Opening remarks were delivered by Christine McLaughlin, Co-Director of Population Health at the Scottish Government, and Nicola Dickie, Director of People Policy at COSLA.
The event was well attended, bringing together participants from both cohorts to share experiences, learn from one another, and strengthen connections.
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement and meaningful engagement, we host online Open Forums for current participants and alumni.
These sessions create a space for open dialogue, feedback, and shared learning, helping to build a vibrant community while directly informing programme evaluation and future development.
