This is a recorded webinar which will provide information on The Updated SDCEP Periodontal Guidance: Webinar 4 - So Your Patient Wants Implants, How Do You Manage Their Gums?.
Upon submission of the shortened evaluation form, you will be automatically certified for 0.95 hours of vCPD. No CPDA is available due to the duration being one hour or less.
Aims and Learning Outcomes
Aims:
To provide an update on the SDCEP perio guidance in relation to the management of periodontal disease in patients planning dental implants and the care of mucosa and dentitions for those patients with dental implants.
Learning Outcomes:
- Describe how to screen for and advise about periodontal disease before implants are considered and placed.
- Describe how to manage periodontitis before implants are placed.
- Describe how to care for implants once they have been placed.
- Describe the basic care of patients who present with peri implant mucositis and peri implantitis in primary care.

Portal TV
This Video is available on Portal TV to access please:
- Click on the Portal TV Logo
- Log into Portal
- Once logged in, go to iBooklet/Search for.../Portal TV in the menu on the left
- Click on Dental
- Look for the window for the recording you wish to view. In this case "The Updated SDCEP Periodontal Guidance: Webinar 4 - So Your Patient Wants Implants, How Do You Manage Their Gums?" and click on the blue button "REGISTER NOW"
- Once you complete your booking and pay the Portal charge, go back to the Portal TV tab and click the "REFRESH" button
- When you re-enter Dental, you will note that you are now registered and you can watch the recording by clicking on the video
- Once you have watched the recording, you can close the recording window
- To demonstrate you have watched the recording and generate your certificate of attendance, you must return your reflective comments on the shortened evaluation form you will find in iBooklet/Manage.../Your Course Evaluations
- Once you have submitted your form, your certificate can be accessed and downloaded in iBooklet/Reports & Certificates/Course Certificates in the usual way
- You will have access to the recording until 18.12.2025 and can watch it as many times as you wish
